We will teach each student the fundamentals of musical notation, (how to read music), music theory, position playing, scales and various technical studies to help develop speed and accuracy using a plectrum.
With practice the student will learn how to perform etudes, solos and duets, progressing through grades 1 to 8. As you progress you will be helped to play songs that you like from different styles such as Jazz, Blues, Rock, Pop, Folk, Classical etc.
We can also prepare students for undertaking RGT exams which start at beginner level and progress to professional Diplomas.
The exams are organised in partnership with London College of Music Exams (one of the world's most respected music examination boards, established since 1887) and certificated by Thames Valley University.
From Grade One onwards RGT exams are accredited by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA) and UCAS points are awarded for Grade 6 and above.
